The Charolais breed of cattle grows in the Charolais region of France, causing them to be called this name. It is known in the world as beef cattle raised for meat.

Milk yield in Charolais breed cattle is quite low. Charolais cattle breed, which is a meat breed, is not raised as breeding stock in our country. Charolais bull has high meat quality.

The number of Charolais cows in our country is almost non-existent. It is known that some curious breeders raise a small number of Charolais cows. Even though it is a minority, some breeders use Charolais bull seeds for their cows.

The whole body of the Charolais cattle breed is off-white or dark cream colored. There are both horned and hornless breeds in the Charolais breed. It is observed that Charolais breed bulls have a body structure that is capable of rapid weight gain. The muscular structures of bulls are developed.

The average live weight of adult Charolais cow breeds is 800 kg. Sometimes there were those who exceeded 1000 kg. This weight is on average 1,000 to 1,100 kg for men. Like Charolais cows, Charolais bulls can reach a live weight of 1400 kg.

Charolais cows are not milked much. Milk yield is almost non-existent. Fertility is low compared to other cattle breeds. Its efficiency in meat is % 70. The Charolais breed is considered a beef cattle rather than a meat breeder in terms of productivity. In Charolais cattle, bulls gain live weight between 1,100 g and 1,300 g per day.
